I was just reading about Paul Butler’s excercise into visualizing friendships across the Facebook Universe…… http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=469716398919 (Paul is an intern on Facebook’s data infrastructure engineering team.)
He has succeeded in creating a beautiful image where friendships seem to span across countries and continents, bringing to mind the awesome inter connectivity people might share in the present day due to networking engines.
I wonder how data from other engines such as linkedin would fare upon a similar analysis. Would business relationships and connections become more apparent , between countries, people and the companies they work in ?
